Wildlife Conservation Podcasts Round Up for 2020

wildlife conservation podcasts

Wildlife conservation is more important now than ever before. As our world is rapidly changing, so is that of wildlife’s. Most people don’t know that what happens to us, happens to them even more so. Our actions as humans are effecting wildlife (not just animals, but ALL wildlife), which in turn effects the entire world. I’m no biologist, so I’m not gonna throw information out there and say “this is that, believe it”. To be more confident and understanding on this topic, there are wildlife conservation podcasts you really need to be listening to, no matter what ‘side’ you stand on regarding the safety of our planet. The guests on these shows are experts in their field and have been on the front lines of it all.

These podcasts give access to the real side of conservation, untwisting the myths and rumors of the industry. Each one can be found on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Wildlife Conservation Podcasts

1. Gone Wild Show

Marlina Moreno is the host to this new and incredibly down to earth, raw and real podcast. She does not hold back and neither do her guests! This is the first podcast I’ve ever listened to that truly peels back the curtain, in a way civilians can understand, on the wildlife conservation side of things – as well as other subjects like water (the amount of things I didn’t know about water was astounding, lol). She’s hosted a poaching ranger, wildlife film maker and other animal specialists. Marlina also makes compelling films, and even had one on NatGeo! If you aren’t in the wildlife field, but have a serious passion about educating yourself on the vast subject of it, and getting involved, this is the podcast for you.

2. Our Wild World

Hosting experts from all over the world, Eli Weiss hosts a no bullshit podcast, deep diving into wildlife conservation. She conducts interviews on various topics, including first-hand information on global policy changes that either benefit or suppress the animal kingdom. Eli’s podcast continues to raise awareness for the poaching and animal trade crisis all over the world, and opens up discussion with experts on species that are threatened and endangered. This is a podcast you need to give your full attention to – tons of information and in-depth conversations. Some of it I had to keep rewinding and do more research on to fully understand the depth of the issues at hand!
